Looking for something fun and easy to do this summer? Use cookie cutters to give your Sunshine Burgers a fun, new look. It’s a great way to get kids helping in the kitchen, and a quick and easy idea to impress your guests.

Making Shaped Burgers

To make shaped burgers, place cooked burgers on a firm surface such as a countertop or cutting board. Press cookie cutters down firmly into each burger. While the cookie cutter is still in the burger, use a knife or toothpick to remove any burger remaining on the outside of the cookie cutter. To remove the burger from the cookie cutter, tap gently against a firm surface and press the middle of the shape.

(Don’t waste any of these leftover pieces of Sunshine Burger. They’re perfect for topping salads and stuffing tacos! You can also gather leftovers and reshape them into more patties.)

Shaped Toppers

Smaller cookie cutters are perfect for creating shaped burger toppers. Try:

  • Vegan cheese slices
  • Pickles
  • Cucumbers
  • Zucchini
  • Squash

Hosting Tips

If you’re having friends or family over for a backyard BBQ or delicious dinner, consider these tips for hosting:

  • Plan Ahead – If you have a large crowd coming over, prepare shaped toppers and burgers ahead of time and store them until it’s time to eat. Make sure you store shaped toppers and burgers properly, if you plan to use them later. Shaped Sunshine Burgers should be placed back into the freezer if you don’t plan to use them right away.
  • Get Guests Involved – Make it an interactive party and provide a basket of cookie cutters for guests to use to create their own burger and topping shapes.
